Enjoy a Break In Beautiful Savusavu Town
Savusavu town is a quaint, seaside town in Fiji with a long colonial history. It's situated on the island of Vanua Levu, which is less populated and developed than Viti Levu. The town features thermal springs, and many locals still cook in the bubbling pools near the primary school behind Morris Hedstrom Supermarket.
Take Your Time
As you travel around Savusavu, you'll find a variety of shops and food markets, including a vegetable and fish market, crafts, textiles, and souvenirs. You'll also find banks (with ATM machine), a post office, cafes and restaurants, travel agents, and broadband Internet access. The Copra Shed Marina and the old Planters Club are good places to get a cool drink. There is a private doctor and dispensary at a facility located on the small road leading to the Hot Springs Hotel, just before the driveway on the left. Also in town is a pharmacy staffed by a helpful and knowledgeable pharmacist who could make good recommendations for common travel illnesses.
